As a student who learned àlearning
As(介)(身為…) a student learning English in Taiwan, I had always been confident of my ability to speak English. When I traveled to the United States one summer, though(=however), I quickly discovered that I still had plenty(=a lot) to learn, especially regarding(=about) the informal English (which is) often used there. That is,(換言之) I found that the English (which is) spoken in the United States could be quite different from the English (that)(受格可省略) I had learned in textbooks in Taiwan.
